Find the Right Court for Your Space
Every backyard is different. Every family has different needs. Whether you’re working with a compact city lot or a sprawling property, TSS has a court size and configuration that’s right for you.
Start With Your Space. We'll Handle the Rest.
One of the most common questions we get is: “What size court do I need?” The honest answer is that it depends on your property, the sports you want to play, and how you plan to use the space over time.
That’s why we offer four size categories to help you orient yourself, along with custom options for properties that don’t fit a standard mould. Each size tier comes with its own typical sports, typical dimensions, and a realistic budget range to help you plan with confidence.
Not sure where you land? That’s what our consultation process is for. We’ll assess your space, talk through your goals, and help you find the configuration that makes the most sense for your family.
All budgets shown include the concrete base and may vary based on location, complexity, and the accessories you choose.

Which Court Size Is Right for You?
Small Backyard Courts
Under 1,000 sq ft
Typical Budget: $20,000–$45,000+
Perfect for compact lots and city backyards. Small courts are primarily built for basketball, with some room for ball hockey practice. A great starting point for families who want a real court in a smaller footprint.

Medium Backyard Courts
1,000 to 2,000 sq ft
Typical Budget: $40,000–$75,000+

Large Backyard Courts
2,000 to 3,000 sq ft
Typical Budget: $65,000–$100,000+
Serious multi-sport space for families who want it all. Large courts accommodate a small full-court basketball setup, inline and ball hockey, pickleball, volleyball, and badminton. Also an excellent size for a winter skating rink with plenty of room to skate.

Full Size Courts

Beyond the Standard
Don't See Your Situation? We've Got You Covered.
Not every property fits neatly into a size category, and not every family has standard needs. That’s why TSS also offers two additional options for clients who need something different.
Custom Courts
Your property is unique. Maybe the shape is irregular. Maybe you’re working around a pool, a garage, or a slope. Maybe you have a specific vision that doesn’t match any standard configuration. We design and build custom courts that work within your constraints and deliver exactly what you’re looking for.
Multi-Sport and Multi-Game Courts
Want more than one sport on a single surface? We specialize in designing multi-sport and multi-game courts that combine basketball, pickleball, volleyball, hockey, badminton, and more into one smart, well-designed layout. Get more from your space without compromising on any single sport.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
The concrete base is included.
All budget ranges shown across our size tiers include the concrete base preparation. This is a meaningful part of the total investment, and we don’t hide it in the fine print.
Budget ranges are starting points.
Final pricing depends on your location, the complexity of the project, and the accessories and surface options you choose. Our team will give you a clear, detailed estimate after seeing your space.
Ice rink conversions are popular.
Medium and large courts are particularly well-suited to winter ice rink conversions. The flat, level surface makes for excellent natural ice, and with a refrigeration system you can skate no matter the weather. Ice refrigeration systems are not included in the listed budget ranges.
Your needs will evolve.
The court you build today should still serve your family five or ten years from now. We think about that during the design phase, helping you choose a size and configuration that has room to grow with you.
