Serious Courts for Serious Performance

No Half Measures. The Full Experience.

Full size courts over 3,000 sq ft are for families and properties where there’s simply no reason to compromise. Regulation basketball. Full tennis. Large-scale multi-sport. Whatever the vision, this is where it becomes reality.

About Full Size Courts

The Ultimate Backyard Investment

Over 3,000 sq ft, full size courts enter a category of their own. This is where regulation-size basketball courts become possible. Where full tennis courts fit. Where you can build a multi-sport complex that rivals anything at a private club, right in your own backyard.

Clients who build full size courts tend to be serious players, large families with multiple kids playing different sports, or homeowners with the property and the vision to build something truly extraordinary. These are not impulse purchases. They’re long-term investments in how a family lives, plays, and connects.

Every full size court TSS builds is planned with the same care and precision as a commercial facility installation. The scale is different, but our standards are exactly the same.

Typical size range: 3,000+ sq ft Typical budget range: $100,000+

Budget includes the concrete base and may vary based on location, complexity, and accessories chosen. Does not include an ice refrigeration system.

Is This the Right Fit?

Full Size Courts Work Best When...

  • Regulation basketball is the goal and you want the real thing, not a scaled-down version
  • Tennis is on the list and you need the full 60′ x 120′ playing area
  • You have the property to accommodate a court of this scale
  • You want a large multi-sport complex that handles every sport your family plays
  • Quality, permanence, and long-term value are the priorities over upfront cost
  • You’re building something that will serve your family for decades, not just a few seasons

If you’re not quite ready for this level of investment, a Large Court delivers serious multi-sport capability at a more accessible price point.

What Full Size Unlocks

At This Scale, the Options Open Up

Most court size tiers come with natural limitations: sports that don’t quite fit, configurations that require compromise. At full size, most of those limitations disappear.

Regulation Basketball A regulation NBA court measures 50′ x 94′. A regulation high school court is 50′ x 84′. Both are achievable at the full size tier, giving serious players and basketball families the real court experience at home.

Full Tennis A regulation tennis court measures 60′ x 120′ including run-off space. Full size courts are the only residential tier where a proper, playable tennis court is possible. If tennis is the sport, this is where you start.

Large Multi-Sport Complexes At 3,000+ sq ft, you’re not choosing between sports anymore. Basketball, pickleball, tennis, volleyball, ball hockey, inline hockey: a well-designed full size court accommodates the full range with room to breathe between them.

Rooftop and Unique Installations Full size courts aren’t limited to ground-level backyards. TSS has completed rooftop installations overlooking city skylines and poolside complexes that integrate the court seamlessly into a larger outdoor living space. If your vision is unconventional, we’re comfortable with that.

What You Get

Everything You Need, Nothing You Don't

Every full size court installation from TSS is a complete, turnkey project managed with the same rigour we bring to commercial facility builds. Here’s what’s typically included:

Concrete Base

A properly engineered, level concrete foundation at full size dimensions. At this scale, base preparation is particularly important and our team ensures it’s done right from the start.

Premium Sport Surface

Your choice of SnapSports modular tiles or acrylic coating across the full court area. At full size dimensions, surface selection has a significant impact on performance consistency, aesthetics, and long-term maintenance. Our team will help you make the right call.

Basketball System

Professional-grade, regulation-height basketball goals in single or dual configurations. At full size, clients often opt for systems that match the standard of what you’d find in a private club or school gymnasium.

Court Lines

Precisely applied, regulation-accurate game lines for every sport on your court. At this size, clear and well-organized line layouts are especially important. Our design team will map everything out before a tile gets laid or a coat goes down.

Optional Add-Ons:
  • Containment netting and perimeter fencing
  • Dasher boards and rink boards for hockey
  • LED court lighting, essential at this scale for evening use
  • Custom logos, team colours, and branded court designs
  • Multi-sport net systems for pickleball, volleyball, tennis, and badminton
  • Spectator seating and court surround features
  • Ice refrigeration system (quoted separately)
Surface Options

Choose Your Surface

At full size dimensions, surface selection is one of the most important decisions in the planning process. Both systems TSS offers are proven performers. The right choice depends on your sports, your aesthetic priorities, and how you plan to use the court long-term.

SnapSports Modular Tiles

The most versatile option at full size scale. SnapSports tiles deliver consistent performance across every square foot of a large court, with no variation in bounce or traction from one end to the other. The modular system also makes future reconfiguration straightforward if your sports mix changes over time. Available across the full performance range, from Base Court through Revolution HP with ShockTower ReactivePlay®, the latter being a strong consideration for clients who will be playing intensively and want maximum joint protection

Acrylic Court Surface

A seamless, liquid-applied finish that covers the entire court in a single continuous surface: no tile edges, no seams, just clean lines and a professional look from one end to the other. At full size scale, acrylic delivers a visual impact that’s hard to match. The right choice for clients building regulation tennis or basketball courts where a classic hardcourt aesthetic is part of the vision.

Common Questions

Full Size Courts, Answered

What exactly is included in the $100,000+ budget range?

The budget range includes the concrete base and the playing surface across the full court area. At full size scale, the concrete base alone represents a significant portion of the investment. Basketball systems, lighting, fencing, custom logos, and net systems are add-ons that will be itemized in your project estimate. We’ll walk you through every line item so you know exactly what you’re getting and what it costs.

Full size court projects are typically completed over five to seven days of active installation once the concrete base is ready and cured. The full timeline from initial consultation to playing on your finished court is generally six to eight weeks, depending on scheduling, season, and project complexity. We’ll give you a clear project timeline during the planning phase.

Permit requirements vary by municipality. TSS will advise you on what’s required in your area during the consultation process and can assist with documentation where needed. In most residential jurisdictions, a concrete pad of this scale requires a permit. We’ve navigated this process many times and will help you through it.

Yes. TSS has completed rooftop installations and other unconventional builds. Non-standard locations require additional engineering assessment and planning, but they’re absolutely within our capability. If your project is unusual, bring it to us.

Acrylic is the traditional and most common surface choice for tennis courts, and for good reason. It delivers the smooth, consistent ball response that tennis players expect, meets USPTA standards, and looks exactly like what players are used to on club and tournament courts. That said, SnapSports Revolution HP is also a strong performer for tennis and offers added cushioning that acrylic doesn’t. We’ll walk you through both options during your consultation.

Yes, and it’s a very common request. Basketball and pickleball lines can share a court cleanly with good colour separation. Tennis and pickleball are also natural companions: a full tennis court fits multiple pickleball courts within its dimensions. Multi-sport line configurations at full size require careful planning, and our design team will map everything out before anything gets installed.
