If your priority is pickleball, badminton, or volleyball, you’ll want to look at our Medium Courts — those sports need a bit more room to play properly. But if basketball is the game and the backyard is tight, a small court can absolutely deliver the experience your family is looking for.

Professional-grade basketball goal, sized and positioned for your court layout. We carry a range of systems to fit different budgets and play styles.
Court Lines
Precisely applied game lines for your chosen sports. Basketball configurations are standard on small courts, with ball hockey markings available as an add-on.

SnapSports Modular Tiles

Acrylic Court Surface
A smooth, liquid-applied coating system bonded directly to your concrete base — the classic outdoor court finish. Clean, durable, and available in a range of colours. Great for families who want a traditional court look and feel.

What's the smallest court TSS will build?
We’ve built courts as compact as 15′ x 37′ in tight urban backyards. As long as there’s enough space for a safe, playable surface, we can work with it. Our team will assess your property during the consultation and let you know exactly what’s possible.
Can I add pickleball lines to a small court?
A standard pickleball court measures 20′ x 44′, so most small courts don’t have quite enough room for a full pickleball setup. If pickleball is important to you, a Medium Court is the right starting point. That said, every backyard is different — bring it up during your consultation and we’ll tell you what’s realistic for your specific space.
What sport surface is better for basketball, SnapSports tiles or acrylic?
Both perform well for basketball. SnapSports modular tiles offer excellent shock absorption and ball response, which many players prefer for heavy use and joint comfort. Acrylic delivers a smooth, traditional court feel that’s familiar to players who’ve grown up on outdoor hardcourts. Our team will walk you through both options during your consultation so you can make the right call for your family.
Does the budget include the hoop and netting?
The typical budget range of $20,000–$45,000+ includes the concrete base and the playing surface. Basketball systems, containment netting, lighting, and custom logos are available as add-ons and will be factored into your final project estimate. We’ll walk you through all the options so there are no surprises.
Can a small court handle Canadian winters?
Absolutely. Every TSS court is built specifically for Canadian climate conditions. SnapSports tiles accommodate natural freeze-thaw expansion and contraction, and acrylic surfaces installed on a properly prepared base hold up excellently through the winter months. You won’t need to cover or remove the court — just wait for spring and play.
How long does installation take?
Most small court installations are completed in one to two days once the concrete base is ready. From the time you sign off on your project, TSS typically has clients playing on their new court within four weeks.
