The Right Hoop Makes the Whole Game.
From home gym setups to competition-ready school gymnasiums, TSS supplies and installs indoor basketball systems for every level of play — professionally mounted, properly anchored, and built to last.
ndoor Basketball Done Right
An indoor basketball system is more than a backboard and a rim. The mounting method, backboard size and material, pole or bracket configuration, and rim specification all affect how the game plays and how the installation holds up over years of use.
TSS supplies and installs indoor basketball systems for home gyms, basement courts, school gymnasiums, private clubs, and commercial training facilities. Every system we carry is selected for performance, durability, and the right fit for the space it’s going into — and our team will help you choose the right configuration during the consultation.
For Home Gyms & Residential Courts
A Proper Hoop for Your Home Court
A home gym or basement court deserves a goal that performs like the real thing — not a portable consumer unit that wobbles under any kind of serious play.
TSS installs wall-mount and ceiling-mount basketball systems for residential indoor applications. Both mounting methods deliver the stability and play quality that make a home court genuinely enjoyable, and both are installed properly so they hold up safely under years of hard use.
Wall-Mount System $$
A clean, space-efficient solution for home gyms and basement courts. Wall-mount systems fold flat against the wall when not in use, keeping your floor space open for other activities.

For Gyms & Institutional Facilities
Competition-Ready Systems for Every Facility
Commercial indoor basketball systems span a wide range — from adjustable youth systems for primary school gymnasiums to full competition-spec goals for facilities hosting sanctioned play. TSS carries the full range and will help you specify the right system for your players and your programming.
Mounting Options
Wall-Fold Systems
The most common solution for school gymnasiums and multi-purpose facilities. Wall-fold systems mount to the gymnasium wall and fold up and out of the way when the floor is needed for non-basketball activities. Available in manual and electric-powered folding configurations.
- [Extension options from wall]
- [Backboard size and material options]
- Manual or electric folding operation
- [Weight counterbalance details]
- Suitable for: School gymnasiums, multi-purpose recreation centres, community facilities
Ceiling-Suspended Systems
For gymnasiums where wall mounting isn’t practical or where a cleaner aesthetic is preferred. Ceiling-suspended systems hang from the structural ceiling and retract upward when not in use. Available in manual and electric configurations.
- [Ceiling height requirement]
- [Backboard size and material options]
- Manual or electric operation
- Suitable for: Large gymnasiums, purpose-built basketball facilities, facilities with high ceilings
Portable Systems
For facilities that need flexibility above all else, portable indoor basketball systems can be positioned and repositioned as needed. Not the preferred option for a primary permanent installation, but a practical solution for overflow courts or multi-use spaces.
- [Base weight and stability specs]
- [Backboard size and material options]
- Suitable for: Multi-use facilities, temporary court setups, overflow and supplementary courts
Play Level Configurations
Youth and Recreational $
Adjustable-height systems for primary schools, community centres, and facilities serving younger players. Height-adjustable to accommodate players from junior through adult.
Collegiate and Club $$
Fixed regulation-height systems for high schools, private clubs, and facilities hosting competitive recreational leagues.
Competition Grade $$$
Full competition-spec systems meeting NCAA, FIBA, and professional standards. Tempered glass backboards, breakaway rims, and robust structural mounting for facilities hosting sanctioned competition.
What to Look for in an Indoor Basketball System
Backboard Material
Tempered glass delivers the truest ball response and is the standard for competitive play. Fan-shaped acrylic or polycarbonate backboards are durable alternatives for recreational and youth applications. Backboard size affects play — regulation is 72″ wide for competitive facilities.
Rim Specification
Breakaway rims with spring-loaded flex systems absorb dunks and aggressive play safely. For competitive and high-use facilities, a breakaway rim is a safety requirement, not an upgrade. Single-ring non-breakaway rims are acceptable for light recreational and youth use only.
Mounting Method and Weight Rating
The wall or ceiling structure must be adequate to support the basketball system under dynamic load — not just static weight. TSS assesses structural suitability during the consultation and will flag any reinforcement requirements before installation.
Folding Mechanism
For systems that need to retract out of the way, the folding mechanism quality determines how easy the system is to operate and how reliably it holds its position. Electric systems are more convenient for facilities where goals are raised and lowered frequently. Manual systems are a cost-effective choice for lower-frequency use.
Adjustability
Fixed regulation-height systems are the standard for adult competitive play. Adjustable systems make sense for primary schools and multi-age recreational facilities where different height settings are needed for different groups.

Common Questions
Indoor Basketball Systems, Answered
What ceiling height do I need for an indoor basketball system?
Regulation play requires a minimum ceiling height of around 20 to 24 feet for full clearance above a 10-foot rim. Home gyms and basement courts with lower ceilings can still accommodate a basketball system — the practical ceiling height requirement depends on the system chosen and how it will be used. TSS will assess your ceiling height during the consultation and recommend the right system for your space.
Can a wall-mount system be installed on any wall?
No. Wall-mount basketball systems require adequate structural support in the wall — typically masonry, concrete, or properly reinforced wood framing. TSS assesses wall suitability during the consultation and will advise on any structural reinforcement required before installation. Installing a basketball system on an inadequate wall is a safety risk we won’t take.
What's the difference between manual and electric folding systems?
Both fold the goal up and out of the way when not in use. Electric systems do it at the push of a button and are the more convenient option for facilities that raise and lower goals frequently. Manual systems require physical operation but are more cost-effective and have fewer mechanical components to maintain. For most school gymnasiums and multi-purpose facilities, electric folding is worth the investment.
Do indoor basketball systems come with backboards included?
Yes — TSS supplies complete basketball systems including backboard, rim, and mounting hardware. The backboard material and size are specified as part of the system selection. Our team will walk you through your options during the consultation.
Can I add a custom logo to the backboard?
Custom backboard graphics are available on select systems. If branding is a priority for your facility, mention it during the consultation and we’ll let you know what’s possible for your chosen system.
Does TSS handle the structural assessment and installation?
Yes. TSS manages the full installation scope including structural assessment, any reinforcement work required, system installation, and a final safety check before handover. You don’t need to coordinate a separate structural engineer or contractor for a standard installation — though complex situations may require additional professional input, which we’ll flag early.
